I remember going to the fair grounds and the school galas as a child and pulling a pretty wrapped parcel out of a box or barrel filled with sawdust or shredded paper.
There was always a boys and girls version you chose from.
As my hand felt around in the barrel for a parcel I was filled with excitement and then with pleasure as I opened the Lucky dip.
